Mario vs Donkey Kong. A child's game as it is advertised, but an adult's hardest puzzle when you really look at it. In this article, we will explore the depths of the game together.
Mario vs Donkey Kong has many features and worlds, such as Mystic Forest or Donkey Kong Jungle. In each world you will find various obstacles, such as semi-dangerous enemies and puzzles, which get harder as the worlds progress. These new concepts can include locked doors, colored switches/blocks, springs, and fans. In all worlds you will find six main levels, one toy level, and one boss level. In the main levels you will learn a new concept of the game, that that world will use in the toy and boss levels. When you complete all six main levels you get a one up level where you have to collect a key and open a chest before the time runs out. You can only get this level once in each world, so make it count! In the toy levels you will have to guide six Mini-Mario toys to a toy box. On the way you must get the Mini-Mario toys to touch three letter pieces to spell the word toy. In order to beat the level, you must get all six Mini-Mario toys into the toy box. Once you complete the toy level for the first time, it will take you straight into the Donkey Kong boss fight! In order to win, you will have to hit him four times, but if you get hit you will lose a Mini-Mario toy. Beating this game is not easy, even though it is advertised as, so be prepared for all of the puzzles that come your way. You can choose between two modes in this game, Normal Mode and Causal Mode. In Normal Mode there will be a time limit, whereas in Causal Mode where there is no time limit and also checkpoints. Finally, you can play with two players, although if you are playing in casual mode with two players, you will have a time limit.
